Chapter Philanthropy

The Epsilon Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta is excited to bring Autism Speaks to the University of South Dakota campus community. Our chapter is active in raising money and awareness for Autism. Our chapter logged over six thousand hours of community service and raised twelve thousand dollars for Autism Speaks during the 2016-2017 school year. During the Fall we host the AmaXing Chili Feed, and in the Spring we host Step it Up, a 5k. The fundraising doesn't stop after the school year is over, in the summer several of our sisters also participate in "Walk Now for Autism". Nationally, Alpha Xi Delta has raised more than SIX AND A HALF MILLION DOLLARS for Autism Speaks!

Every year our Sisters look forward to working with Autism Speaks and increasing autism awareness on campus and in our community. With one in sixty-eight children diagnosed with autism and no known cure, Alpha Xi Delta is committed to improving the lives of children and families affected by autism. We hope our fundraising and awareness efforts can help put one more piece of the autism puzzle in place.

The world's largest autism advocacy organization, Autism Speaks, is dedicated to increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders, to funding research into the causes, prevention and treatments for autism, and to advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
